Find your ring

One ring per lens.

Pick the ring that matches your lens thread. It stays on the lens, and every 49MAG filter snaps onto it.

Not sure of your thread? It is printed on the front of the lens or inside the cap, next to the diameter symbol. Add a front cap, back cap and Caddy Pouch to carry the set.

How it works

Three moves, then shoot.

The ring stays on the lens. Everything after that takes a second.

Fit the ring

Thread a 49MAG adaptor ring onto the lens and leave it there. Rings come in 39mm, 40.5mm, 43mm, 46mm and 49mm.

Snap the filter on

The magnets pull the filter square onto the ring in about a second.

Twist to lock

Turn until the handle meets the white line. The filter is now locked, not just held by magnets.

Snap on in seconds

Strong magnets pull each filter square onto the adaptor ring, so it goes on or comes off in a second and you can keep up with the light.

Locked on tight

Twist the filter until its handle meets the white line on the adaptor and a mechanical lock engages. Fast movement and a knock in the bag will not shift it.

Questions

Before you buy.

Which lenses does 49MAG fit?

Any lens with a 39mm, 40.5mm, 43mm, 46mm or 49mm filter thread, using the matching adaptor ring. That covers many rangefinder lenses, small mirrorless primes and compact camera lenses.

How do I find my filter thread?

Look for the diameter symbol on the front of the lens or inside the lens cap, followed by a number in millimetres. That number is the adaptor ring you need.

Do I need a ring for every lens?

Yes, one ring per lens, and it stays on the lens. The filters then move freely between every lens that has a ring.

What comes in the kits?

The Landscape Filter Kit has FS ND8, FS ND64, FS ND1000 and a True Color CPL, with 40.5mm, 43mm, 46mm and 49mm rings. The Monochrome Filter Kit has yellow, orange and red filters with 39mm, 46mm and 49mm rings. Both include a front cap, back cap and filter bag.

Will the filters stay on?

Yes. The magnet holds the filter while you seat it, then a twist to the white line locks it mechanically. Stacked filters lock to each other the same way.

How do I carry them?

The filters stack with magnetic front and back caps into a puck small enough for a pocket, and the Caddy Pouch holds the set.
